As the holidays approach more people will use the computer to do their shopping. Although "Cyber Monday" has past, people should still understand how to detect if a website is legitimate.

The fact that everything is tracked electronically means that you create a "digital" or "Internet" self that is tracked to varying degrees. It seems that we currently live in the beginnings of a police state, but it's very inefficient. Just ask this guy.

There are many anonymizing websites online and ones that offer extreme security, but using the things you've learned in the "10 tips," you'll take these claims with a grain of salt.

For example, take a look at "Hushmail" which is "unreadable."
